I just finished my first fiction novel in over 10 years today and loved getting back into fiction! This blog is fantastic. I only like certain fonts and page feels and weights. Don't like e-readers most times (unless I am on a trip and have no packing room). And I have to be grabbed in the first paragraph. I had forgotten how great it felt to read a story in paperback. Finding a book that interested me, giving myself space and no pressure to have to read it, and saving it as a treat at night really helped - including improving my sleep. (That was, until it got so good I couldn't put it down and sacrificed some needed sleep! So then I moved it to lunchtime. It made the day feel more spacious and decadent.)
For those who want to listen to the audio book while reading (an ebook), check out Xigxag! They have a selection of 'x-books' which combine the two formats.
I use the Libby app for audio books and utilise my local library for physical books. That way I can save money while doing what I love.
But honestly, it's so hard to concentrate on reading at times especially when my phone is calling out to me but I'll give it a try to pick up a book rather than a phone.

So glad you enjoyed! Also very happy to hear you picked up a book after that long -- it's like riding a bike 🥹
I also found that using an ereader to keep the font consistent between books helped me read more.
Interesting, I've never heard this before but I'm also very loyal to my font, so I get it hahaha
